Adena Jones is a social media storyteller who specializes in implementation and execution of cutting-edge social strategy for major brands. She was also one of four Black female columnists in the nation when at espnW.com.


Adena was the Director of Content Operations at SoulCycle and WME/IMG where she was responsible for operationalizing the media team to create world class social media content. As Senior Manager at Bleacher Report she supervised a team of 10 creatives tasked with capturing moments that move sports internet culture. As an editor at espnW.com she executed all social media communications and short-form content. At CBSSports.com she covered the behind the scenes action of shows on CBS Sports Network and CBS. She was formerly one of four black female sports columnists in the nation as a columnist at EspnW.com, a website fully dedicated to serving female athletes and fans. She worked at ESPN the Magazine and NBA.com for three seasons before joining espnW. Adena has also edited for Adidas, Nike Women and Nike Running.

According to Black Enterprise.com, she is one of the most influential sports professionals of color to follow on Twitter and Shape Magazine nominated her blog, adenaandrews.com, as one of the best for sports nuts. Her professional journalism memberships include the National Association of Black Journalists where she was the Vice President of Social Media for the Sports Task Force and the Associated Press Sports Editors where she was a fellow in the inaugural Diversity Fellowship program.


She holds degrees from the University of Southern California (B.A. Print Journalism ’07) and Georgia State University (M.S. Sports Administration ’11) and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. A native of Long Island, N.Y., she currently resides in Fort Lee, NJ.
